Foot Balancing

At Alta Equine, we recognize that it takes a team to keep your equine athlete in top condition. A critical member of that team is your farrier, which is why we offer foot balance consultations to objectively evaluate the foot and collaborate with you and your farrier in developing a shoeing program customized to your horse.

Foot Balance radiographs allow veterinarians and farriers to assess:

• Sole depth

• Break over

• Heel angle

• Dorsal hoof wall length and thickness

• Toe to foot ratio

• Solar and Palmar angles
